As the end of the school year draws closer, students and staff are gearing us for the last day of school just over one month away. To keep students engaged in learning all summer, he district is planning comprehensive summer learning programs.
Students and staff face unique challenges in today's fast-paced, technology-driven world, which can significantly impact mental health. This year, our district has brought significant attention to mental health and the importance of self-care. From our opening session with teachers on day one, we have focused on seeking resources as we navigate a challenging environment.
We are excited to share an overview of the vibrant educational landscape at Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Our goal is to make sure every student feels supported and cared for. By teaming up with local businesses, companies, and colleges, we can offer students amazing chances to do well in school, sports, art, science, and health programs. Here is a glimpse into some impactful initiatives and partnerships that make Wayne-Westland Community Schools unique.
I want to provide you with an important update regarding our district's technology resources. As you may know, our schools have been fortunate to receive funding through the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF), a grant that has allowed us to provide iPads with cellular service to elementary students for educational purposes.

With less than two months left in the school year, our students are still learning, growing, and thriving. As our high school seniors prepare to conclude their K-12 experience with cherished traditions and celebrations, we look forward to welcoming a new group of Young 5s and kindergarten students next fall. Spring marks a significant and memorable time in our school district.

For our middle and high school students, spring assessments provide valuable insights into their progress and help us tailor our educational approach to meet their needs.
